Charles Foreman Pianist

Media Centre

Charles did a pair of interviews in advance of his recently concluded cycle of Beethoven sonatas (he is still the only pianist to play the 32 Beethoven solo sonatas in Calgary).

Here is a link to the CBC interview: http://www.cbc.ca/homestretch/episode/2015/02/24/shell-10/

You can hear Charles accompany Canadian soprano Tracy Smith Bessette in songs by Richard Strauss and Kurt Weill. Navigate to the “Recordings & Films” section of Tracy’s website after using this link:

And some kind soul has posted Charles’ recording of Jean Coulthard’s Image Astrale on YouTube. Thanks, whoever you are! Here’s the link:

And there is more on YouTube! A Little Romance, Charles’ recording with Edmond Agopian, has been long sold out. However, you can listen to the entire recording, complete – everything from Edmond’s arrangement of Roumanian melodies to works by Ysäye, Porembescu, Sibelius, the Clara Schumann Romances, and more by Aaron Copland, Henry Brant and Alexander Brott – here:

And there is a live performance from the fall of 2013, part of the Western Canadian Music Awards celebration. It is Sid Robinovitch’s Klezmer in Granada, with Jeremy Brown, Cédric Blary, and Charles Foreman, which you can find here:
